Body Fat (US Navy)   Free Calculator  Top
What is my navy fitness level when measuring body fat using the Navy Body Fat Test and Navy Body Fat Chart?
This Body Fat Navy Calculator uses the U.S. Navy fitness formula to get an estimated measuring of body fat percent. Use a tape measure then enter your waist, hip, and neck measurements. Combine these measurements with your gender and height and this navy calculator will estimate body fat percent, lean mass, fat mass, and your general navy fitness category. (You can see the Navy Body Fat Chart by clicking the down arrow icon right under the results.) The water displacement test is the most accurate way to determine body fat percent, but the Navy Body Fat test or YMCA formula is accurate within 1-3% for most people.
Body Fat (YMCA)   Top
How much of my weight is fat (using the YMCA formula)?
This calculator uses the formula developed by the YMCA to estimate your body fat percentage without calipers. Use a tape measure and enter your waist measurement. Combine the waist measurement with your gender and weight and this calculator will estimate your percent of body fat, how much of your weight is lean mass and how much is fat mass, and your general fitness category. The water displacement test is the most accurate way to determine body fat percent, but the Navy Body Fat test or YMCA formula is accurate within 1-3% for most people.
Body Fat (3 Skinfolds)   Top
How much of my weight is fat (using 3 skinfold measurements)?
Calculating your body fat percentage by taking some measurements from the fat-storing zones will reveal your fitness level more accurately than scale weight alone. Combine these measurements with your gender, weight, and age and this calculator will find your percent of body fat, how much of your weight is lean mass and how much is fat mass, and your general fitness category. While the water displacement test is the most accurate way to determine body fat percent, skinfold tests are valuable because they can be done at home with the same person measuring each time, providing good measurements to monitor body composition changes over time.

Lean Body Mass   Top
How much of my weight is lean mass and how much is fat?
Get an estimate of your body's lean mass by entering your height and weight. This calculator uses the James formula which applies to adults and children of all ages. Your lean body mass is the sum of all your nonfat parts including muscle, tissue, organs, blood, and water. Don't confuse lean body mass with ideal weight - essential fat is 10% for women and 2% for men, and acceptable fat is up to 31% for women and 25% for men.
Resting Heart Rate Average   Top
Calculate my average resting heart rate for up to 5 days.
Resting heart rate is an indicator of your cardiovascular fitness level or how well your heart and lungs work. Typical resting heart rate is about 72 bpm, while highly trained runners may have resting heart rates around 35-40 bmp. Your average resting heart rate should be 15 to 20 bpm slower than your normal heart rate. The more fit you are, the lower your resting heart rate will be. As you monitor your average resting heart rate, you'll see this number drop as you become more fit.
Calorie Composition   Top
How many of my daily calories should come from protein, carbohydrates, and fat in order to meet my goal?
Given your goal and current weight, this calculator will help you determine your daily calorie needs and how many of those calories should come from protein, carbohydrates, and fat to keep you on track.
Full Body Analysis   Top

This calculator combines the output from several individual calculators to give you a full body analysis. Quickly find out your BMI, waist to hip ratio, body frame size, ideal weight, body fat, RMR, calories burned, target heart rate, and maximum heart rate.
