Resting Heart Rate Average Calculator

Resting heart rate is an indicator of your cardiovascular fitness level or how well your heart and lungs work. Typical resting heart rate is about 72 bpm, while highly trained runners may have resting heart rates around 35-40 bmp. Your average resting heart rate should be 15 to 20 bpm slower than your normal heart rate. The more fit you are, the lower your resting heart rate will be. As you monitor your average resting heart rate, you'll see this number drop as you become more fit.
